Visitor Quote

"'Caerhays is a truely remarkable garden. With its range of trees and shrubs it is a paradise for the plant lover. Everyone can love its setting in the valley by the sea, and the beauty of its plants, like the blaze of pink of the Magnolia Caerhays Belle against a blue sky just behind the castle, surely one of the wonders of the horticultural world. It is so encouraging to feel and see the energy now going into the renewal and development of this world famous garden.'"

RHS bestow another Award for Caerhays

Mr Jaimie Parsons the head gardener from the Caerhays Estate was overjoyed when he was told that he had been awarded the acclaimed RHS A J Waley Medal for 2009. This prestigious award was originally instituted in 1937 by the late Alfred J Waley to acknowledge the efforts of working gardeners who help in the cultivation of rhododendrons. Jamie has been especially recognised for his work over the last 14 years in the cultivation and preservation of the rhododendrons at Caerhays.
