Caerhays Beach

Caerhays BeachDo you remember a day on the beach when you were a child? No speed boats, no jet skis, just a shop selling ice creams, snacks and beach toys with plenty of space to run and play. Well that could still be Porthluney beach today.

Caerhays Beach Hut and shop is  under the new management of Jan Pheasey, Open Daily from 10.30am (weather permitting). between March and late September.

ALWAYS A WARM WELCOME!

Serving:  Cornish Coffee, Twinnings Tea.  Fruit Juices and Fizzy Drinks.  Locally made Cornish Pasties. West Country Burgers and Sausages, Freshly made Sandwiches, Baguettes and Salads.  Callestick Ice Cream, Scrumptious Homemade Cakes, Cornish Biscuits.

The Hut has recently been awarded 5 out of a possible 0-5 in the National Food Hygiene Inspection Scheme "Score on the Door".

The Shop is well stocked selling:  Body Boards, Wet Suits/Shoes, Ball Games and Buckets and Spades and painting and cards by Local Artists.

The large car park (charge payable May to September) means there will be no problem with parking and no walking miles to get to the sand and, as long as it's kept on a lead, even your dog is welcome.

BBQs or fires are not allowed on the beach or either of the car parks.

In the winter an ideal spot for surfers, the perfect starting point for a walk along the cliffs, somewhere to spend a relaxing couple of hours with your fishing rod or just to sit in you car and listen to the sea. This beach has it all. Whether, basking in the summer sun or wild and windswept in the winter, Porthluney Cove overlooked by the castle has something for everyone and is the perfect family Cornish Beach.

Please be aware that there is no overnight parking on the beach and the gates are locked at 8.00pm each evening.
