The Engine HouseThe first of the Caerhays Holiday Lets, The Engine House has consistently received 5 star grading and has, in March 2010 retained its Gold Star award The name Engine House comes from the original use of the building on this the site as home to the generator which was used for supplying the electric power to the castle. Part of the old telephone system linking the castle and this house can still be seen during the castle tour. Situated in a small hamlet of 3 houses with panoramic views over Veryan Bay from its gateway, and backed by the world famous Caerhays Castle gardens, visitors will have free access to Caerhays Castle Gardens during the open season from February to May and out of season by arrangement only.
