The Old Village Hall Opened on 1st August 2008 The Old Village Hall, situated opposite the entrance to The Vean became number 5 the Caerhays Holiday Lettings Portfolio. In April of 2009 it obtained it 5* gold Award which it retains for 2010. |

This building was originally constructed by the Caerhays Estate in around 1900 as a reading room for estate staff and as a small stage for use by the nearby village school. When in 2005 the building was no longer able to comply with any Health and Safety requirements for public buildings, the committee conducted a poll of all parishioners and the decision was then taken to surrender the lease back to the Caerhays Estate so the building could be modernized and converted as holiday accommodation. |

Work was started in late 2007 and completed in July of 2008. The result being a comfortable and welcoming property which sleeps 5 and is available on either a self catering basis through Niche Retreats for Special Breaks or as additional accommodation for parties at The Vean.
